His profile

A native of Normandy, Romain Hardy has often competed for Breton teams and today considers himself to be “Breton by adoption”. It was in 2009 that this puncher left his job at SNCF to race in the colours of Bretagne Schuller (2010-2012). He notably won a stage of the Tour du Haut Var. He went on to discover the highest echelons of the sport when he joined the Cofidis team for 4 years. In particularly good form in the 2016 Vuelta, he performed well in the stages and overall (27th). A rider’s first discipline is often the one closest to his heart, and so it was that Romain went back to his cycling origins in 2017. He wore the polka-dot jersey in the Paris-Nice race, posted two top 10 results in his first Tour de France and won the Tour du Doubs. A successful season 2017 for Romain.

In his own three words: Serious, Courageous, Shy
