Romain was initially a promising gymnast, but injury put an end to that when he was 13 years old. And so he turned to cycling. After having posted good results on the track, Romain joined the Armée de Terre team and discovered the world of professional cycling. Despite a terrible fall in 2015, this native of Brittany defied expectations and came back in half the expected time. And then a harsh blow again in 2017. With no place in a team mid-November, when all the squads have completed their recruitment and financing, Romain took action by launching a crowd-funding campaign via the Kengo platform. The aim: to raise €40,000 to follow his dream as a professional rider. The campaign was a success, with 180 contributors and €40,030 raised. Our sports directorship is familiar with Romain’s performance over the years, and decided to give a chance to this rider who never gives up.
