On the line

“It was a very tough day on this 9th stage of the Vuelta Ciclista a Espańa with difficult weather conditions. The wind at the start of the stage allowed breaks to form. The leaders were quick to make a move, led by the Jumbo-Visma team. This broke the peloton into several parts, and I was well helped by my team-mates during those intense moments at the start of the race. A break then formed, taking a big lead. New kerbs formed on the parts of the stage exposed to the wind. Thanks again to the whole team. At the end of the stage, with mist falling and a light drizzle, it was difficult to climb the Collado de la Cruz de Caravaca. My legs were good and I finished the stage in 11th place”.
