Jenthe Biermans: "The course of Eschborn-Frankfurt has changed »

As tradition demands, on May 1st, Eschborn-Frankfurt, the former Grand Prix of Frankfurt, will take place. This UCI WorldTour event is often promised to the sprinters, but beware, because this year the organisers have made the course of their race a bit more complicated.

Jenthe Biermans

“I discovered Eschborn-Frankfurt last year. This will be my comeback race after Paris-Roubaix. It will mark the beginning of the second part of the season for many riders. There was a bunch sprint last year, but the course has changed this year. The organisers have added some difficulties and I think that if this race is won by a sprinter, he will have to have the ‘leg’ to get over the bumps that have been added to the race profile.

The briefing

“The course of Eschborn-Frankfurt has changed compared to the previous editions, with different loops with difficulties that can reduce the peloton over the kilometres. The Arkéa-Samsic team is based around Nacer Bouhanni who will be our number one sprinter, but we also have other assets, if the race is decided quickly, with Jenthe Biermans, Hugo Hofstetter, Matîs Louvel who can be at the front, and who can use their speed if the victory is to be decided in a small group.
