Hailing from the Cote de Granit Rose in the Cotes d’Armor, Alan Riou is a pure ‘Breton’. He broke into the limelight when he took fourth place in a sprint finish at the 2013 championnats de France de l’Avenir in Albi, the same year Elie Gesbert claimed a double in the juniors events. Both started in the same club, the Team du Pays de Dinan. Alan joined our Bretagne Formation club last year. In 2017, he finished third in the Grand Prix d’Isbergues, bagging precious points to help the team win the Coupe de France. Last year, he won more than 10 amateur races and won on the Tour de l’Avenir. He started 2019 as a professional in our team with a strong desire to learn alongside the big guns and perform quickly.
