Beneath Benoît Jarrier’s quiet demeanour lies a hard charger. Perhaps it’s because of his dual sporting heritage, with cycling in the family, and Le Mans 24 hours just 300 metres from his parents’ house. He is combative. 200 kilometres of breakaway in April 2014 on the cobbles of Paris-Roubaix. And first to attack in his first Tour de France three months later, straight out from the start in Leeds! Benoît had the determination to finish the Tour, despite suffering from persistent sinusitis in the Alps. A fan of Novak Djokovic, he is capable of delivering a formidable finish from a small group.
