Yvon Ledanois: "The Limousin, a race of wear and tear

The Team Arkea-Samsic who will ride the Limousin Tour is a mix between french and Colombia.

“After the Arctic Race, I’m going to do the Tour du Limousin. These two one-week stage races without time trials will give me a good block of races to build on for the one-day races at the end of the season, which are part of my objectives. I will then be able to capitalize on this in order to continue to progress, while obviously having ambitions for the next four days in the Limousin.

“I don’t have many participations in the Tour du Limousin, but this event is a real classic in the French calendar. It is indeed an important event, it is in a way the stage race that launches the third part of the professional cycling season in France. The Limousin, Poitou-Charentes and Grand Prix de Plouay are an important block of races in August. I want to continue the momentum of the Polynormande and have a good end of year 2021.

The Briefing

“With the Arkéa-Samsic team involved in this 2021 edition of the Tour du Limousin, we will be able to play the card of stage success, but also have legitimate claims to the general classification. This event is not easy, not because of the difference in altitude but because of the typography of the region with roads that are never flat, and it often crowns a rider who appreciates this kind of competition. The Tour du Limousin is part of the objectives that we have set ourselves, the competition is strong, we are aware of it, but we have legitimate ambitions as at the beginning of each race. This is my philosophy and the one I want to pass on to the riders”.
