Laurent Pichon: "a race for the braves"

The ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team will be lining up at the start of the Normandy classic, with 2022 winner Anthony Delaplace and 2023 runner-up Ewen Costiou, who took his first ever podium finish in the professional category.

Ewen Costiou

“I like the profile of Paris-Camembert. Even though it’s changing a bit this year, it’s a terrain that I enjoy. I’ll be going to the start hoping to have recovered well from my first Paris-Nice. The efforts I made there should help me reach a new level and I’m sure I’ll be able to see that very quickly. The upcoming series of French Cup races is very important for the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team and for me. We’ve got plenty of time to express ourselves.”

Laurent Pichon, sports director

“The Paris-Camembert route has changed this year: we start from Evreux, which adds a windy section before arriving on the loops around Livarot. If the weather conditions are as forecast – rain and wind – it promises to be a tough race. With Anthony Delaplace, on home soil and winner in 2022, Vincenzo Albanese, who recently shone in Belgium, Ewen Costiou and Clément Venturini, who love this type of event, the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team has some great cards up its sleeve. I’m also not forgetting the contribution of our youngsters in the Development team, who I’m also counting on to put on a great team race. It’s going to be a race of warriors, and I think I’ve got 7 warriors lining up at the start of Paris-Camembert on Wednesday”.
