On the line

“I would like to thank all my team-mates for the work they did for me. At the entrance of the circuit, Laurent Pichon placed us ideally. He rode at the head of the peloton. The last kilometres Hugo Hofstetter placed me ideally. I decided to launch, and it was probably too early. But I had to do it against stronger riders with a better timing than me. I’m happy to be in 5th place, the objective now is to do better in the next few days of racing”.

The debrief

“Mathis Le Berre was in the breakaway, which wasn’t the initial plan. But he was at the front of the peloton, and his role was to filter, and as he was well placed, he just went with the flow when he left. He managed to get some bonuses which put him 6th in the provisional general classification of the 4 Days of Dunkerque. Once Mathis and his breakaway companion had been caught, the team set up for the sprint in favour of Dan. The guys all did a great job for him. He finished 5th in Abbeville. It’s a good result to start with, the goal is to continue this momentum and try to do even better”.
