The DS briefing
“The Faun Ardèche and the Drôme Classic have been part of the French calendar for many years and have become key events at the beginning of the season, with a crucial programme just a few days before the first one-week World Tour stage races: Paris-Nice and Tirreno-Adriatico. The courses in these two races are hilly and often crown complete and in-form riders at the beginning of the season. Our teams involved in these two races will want to continue the momentum that Arkéa-Samsic has been building since the beginning of the season“.
On the line
“The Faun Ardèche is a race that I am used to ride. It is a demanding, hilly and tiring race. This race is the hardest of the two proposed by the organizers, it is a puncheur-grimpeur type race and is often played out with a first skimming in the col de Lerps, and the final decision is made in the wall of the Val d’Enfer. My objective will be to help our leaders as much as possible so that they can make Arkéa-Samsic’s colours shine on this race, and therefore to accompany them as long as possible”.
