BEMER Cyclassics: Arnaud Démare 4th
Arnaud Démare took 4th place in the sprint at the BEMER Cyclassics in Hamburg.
“We rode a great team race today, well represented and well placed. The final was a bit disjointed between the trio who had anticipated, the peloton who were coming back, we got a bit mixed up and I’m going to get this 4th place. It’s a good first result that I can contribute to the team, even if I could have done better. For a recovery, it’s encouraging, the legs are coming back well and collectively things were going well. It’s positive for the races to come!”
“Arnaud showed that he was in good physical condition today. He was able to keep up with the best over the humps. As far as his sprint is concerned, he may have started a little too late because he finished with a lot of speed. Nevertheless, this result is very encouraging for the future: we have a committed team around him who were able to adapt to do the work in the final.”
