Bram Welten: "I am motivated for Isbergues”

Bram Welten will be our major asset in Isbergues tomorrow, without ruling out the chances of Christophe Noppe or Amaury Capiot.

Pre-race

“I am motivated because I know that the Grand Prix d’Isbergues can be a chance to do something good for me tomorrow. We are going to start this race with a great Arkéa-Samsic team, and I feel capable of achieving a good result. I know this race, the course and as the weather is forecast to be good tomorrow the chances of a bunch sprint are high.

The Briefing

“We are the outgoing winners of this race. A bunch sprint scenario is possible, but not the only one, and if other tactical schemes develop during the race we will also have the assets to respond. Bram will be our sprint if there is a bunch sprint, as Nacer is still recovering, which gives our other sprinters, Amaury and Christophe, free rein to show what they are capable of. We are going to do everything we can to try and keep control of this race. Isbergues is a round of the French Cup and we want to shine in these competitions. We are also second in the team classification, which makes sense for us. It’s a secondary classification that counts for the riders as well as for the whole Arkéa-Samsic team staff”.
