“I remember this first sprint under my new colours: the positive state of mind of the whole team. The work done in the final was good, just like what happened this afternoon in the Marseillaise. The Arkéa-Samsic team is very good, we are all running at the front of the pack, the group is homogeneous. The atmosphere is good, and that pulls everyone up. I got my bearings in this first sprint of the season, I asked the guys to take the handle a bit early, which allowed us to get through the first half-lap in the lead and to be safe for the crashes. I tried to throw from a distance, but I missed 50 metres. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t, but you always have to try. And what I remember about this recovery is that it was positive.”
“The aim in coming to the Challenge Mallorca was to perform: contract partly fulfilled! We were present over the five days of the race with five different riders, which shows the homogeneity of the team and that everyone’s level of fitness is good at the beginning of the season. A dynamic has been set up and it is now necessary to maintain it and even improve it as the weeks go by”.
