Clément Champoussin joins Arkéa-Samsic
Clément Champoussin, a promising young French rider, has signed for the Arkéa-Samsic team.

“Emmanuel Hubert presented me with a great career plan. His words immediately showed the confidence he had in me. This was a decisive factor in my decision. This season, like everyone else, I was able to measure the great performances of his riders. There is a good atmosphere in the Team Arkéa-Samsic with a very strong family spirit. Emmanuel Hubert has presented me with a progressive career plan: in 2023, he wants me to focus on races with a mountainous profile with the aim of winning stages. That doesn’t put too much pressure on me with possible general classifications. I will try to achieve these performances in a crescendo manner afterwards by focusing first on one-week stage races and then on three-week races. My arrival at Arkéa-Samsic is part of a project of linear progression with a well established evolution scheme, so I will be able to go through the stages serenely, one after the other”.
“Clément is one of the great hopes of French cycling. He is a mountain biker, so he is used to riding at high intensity. The strings worked on the tracks are similar to those required on a mountain pass or in a time trial on the road. As an attacking cyclist, Clément will have a well-established and programmed career plan within our team. He knows what we expect from him in the future. We don’t want to put pressure on him right away. On the contrary, we want to continue to polish this diamond in the rough in order to bring him up to the highest level.”
