Grand Prix de La Marseillaise, Thibault Guernalec (7th) : "A good sign for the future"
Very active during the opening of the French calendar, the Breton finished 7th in Marseille.

“On the route des Crêtes, I had a good feeling and wanted to control the peloton for Jenthe (Biermans) or Luca (Mozzato). In the end, a small group got away and we were able to win. Behind Powless, with the wind against us, we were not able to get along and come back. I wasn’t sure how to handle the sprint on such a wide road. I can say today that my legs were good and I arrive at the Etoiles de Bessèges with a lot of ambition and motivation.”
“The most important thing to remember about this Grand Prix de la Marseillaise is that the physical level of our Arkea-Samsic team was very homogeneous. Thibault was at the front on the route des Crêtes and we were all in the peloton behind. Thibault showed some great things today, I think that’s very encouraging before Bessèges on a race that is close to his heart.”
