Kévin Vauquelin and Matîs Louvel's early season programme

The two Norman riders who symbolise the future of the Arkéa-Samsic team will both be on the roads of Paris-Nice this spring.

Kévin Vauquelin

– Étoile de Bessèges, (from 1st to 5th February)

– Tour des Alpes-Maritimes et du Haut-Var, (February 17-19)

– Paris-Nice (5 to 12 March)

Kévin Vauquelin will discover his first UCI WorldTour race during a week at Paris-Nice. We have a season-long project with this rider, and the idea at the beginning of the 2023 season is to give him the role of protected rider on a few occasions, notably in the three stage races that will be held at the beginning of the year. He will be back in competitions where he can perform well. Our objective is that he reproduces what he did at the end of the season in 2022, with the discovery of Paris-Nice as a bonus, without however putting a huge pressure on him. He will be one of the two leaders of the team in this race”, concludes Théo Ouvrard“.

Matis Louvel

– Vuelta Ciclista a la Region de Murcia ” Costa Càlida, (11 February)

– Jaën Paraiso Interior, (13 February)

– Volta ao Algarve (15 to 19 February)

– Omloop Het Nieuwsblad (25 February)

– Paris-Nice (5 to 12 March)

– Milan-San Remo (18 March)

A real change of programme at the beginning of the season for Matis,” explains Théo Ouvrard. He is entering a new world for us, with a delayed start to the season so that he can best negotiate the Flanders classics campaign, where he really showed himself last year. The objective is for Matîs to do a big winter, a big block of work, without adding competitions to it. The Volta Ao Algarve will be the stage race that will allow him to build up his rhythm and effort, to accumulate kilometres in order to be well prepared for Paris-Roubaix. Martîs will also compete for the second time in his career in Paris-Nice, a race in which he has now found his bearings”.
