Louis Barré

“I am proud to join the Arkéa-Samsic team. It’s a great team that’s making great progress. I really appreciate the racing philosophy of this team. I am happy to join this team that gives young riders a chance. I already know Donavan Grondin and Kévin Vauquelin a bit. From a sporting point of view, I am a climber-puncher. I did all my training with the Team U Nantes Atlantique. I joined the club as a first year junior, and this year I made my professional debut in its colours. I was also a member of the team’s training centre, and I obtained a Bac STMG, followed by a BTS in accounting. I would like to thank Team U Nantes Atlantique for the trust they have placed in me and the training they have given me over the six seasons I have spent with them.”

Emmanuel Hubert, Manager Général

“Louis Barré showed his talent in the junior ranks with a 3rd place in the French Championships, then last year in the U23 category with a 4th place in Liège-Bastogne-Liège and a 7th place in the European Championships. Having turned professional at the beginning of the season with Team U Nantes-Atlantique, he joins our team having already made his mark at the highest level, which will allow him to reduce his adaptation time. Louis is a new young talent who joins us. He has joined the ranks of the promising riders in our team. I would also like to pay tribute to the good training work carried out with Louis by the Team U Nantes Atlantique led by Anthony Ravard, which has enabled him to realise his dual project, sport and studies, with shared success in both areas.”

Arnaud Gérard, Directeur-sportif

“Louis Barré is a puncheur who rides well over the hills. He has a lot of potential for improvement and has an interesting profile for us. We have been following him since the junior ranks, and what really caught our attention was his strong progression last year in the U23 category, notably during Liège-Bastogne-Liège and the European Championships with the French team. Louis is a rider trained by Team U Nantes Atlantique. Anthony Ravard does excellent work with young riders and his team does a lot of training. His ambition and desire is to take his riders to the next level. Louis has also been able to spend the first seven months of the season in the pros with Nantes, which means that he can come to us with a little experience behind him.”
