Maxime Bouet 4th of the last stage of the Settimana Ciclista Italiana
13th in the general classification of the Sardinian race, Maxime takes today the fourth place in the sprint of the last stage of this competition.
On the line
“Happy and disappointed at the same time because I finish at the foot of the podium in this last stage of the Settimana Ciclista Italiana. I finished on the same line as the second and the third. It was very close for the podium. I thank Laurent and Matîs at the red flame Laurent accelerated on a cobbled section. He took a crazy kilometre relay at five hundred metres from the line, then Matîs took over from him until the two hundred and fifty metres, and there I launched. I am first with less than a hundred meters to go, then Ackermann passes me on the left. At the bike throw, I am close to the second and the third. I am happy with my week and this is a reward for my work. I want to thank all my team-mates here”.

“Maxime did a great stage and in the sprint he was perfectly managed by Laurent and Matîs so that he could do a good sprint. He finished fourth. On the whole week the only drawback is the first stage, otherwise without this mistake of placement Maxime could have done better than thirteenth in the general classification. This race was the team’s resumption, the spirit was to put it in a good dynamic for the second part of the season, now our riders are launched and we are not going to stop anymore”.
