“I have always loved Milan-San-Remo, it was the classic I used to watch all the time on TV when I was younger. I think it is the one that suits me the most, and every year I prepare it. It’s clear that in the last few seasons it’s been more the puncheurs who have won, but like any trend it can be reversed in favour of the sprinters. The judge of peace is often the Poggio, the last capo of the day before the descent to the finish, and my “reference point” on this climb, as for many riders, is the famous phone box at the top of this hill”.

It was important because it will be my first participation in Milan-San-Remo this year, I was able to see the capi of the final, the descents of the Cipressa and the Poggio are technical, and I was able to memorize the crucial points of some places of this classic, as well as the placement that should be required in the race. The time spent on the bike will make the last difficulties difficult, and the placement at the end of the Poggio will obviously be crucial.
“Milan-San-Remo, as we know, is one of the career objectives of our sprinter, Nacer Bouhanni. We also know that the competition in this classic is very strong and that there has been a match between the puncheurs-grimpeurs and the sprinters for several years. But each time it is a very close race. We are very hopeful that Nacer will be able to get a very good result in this first monument of the season. We know, and we are going to make sure that it is so, that if everything is aligned for Nacer he can claim victory”.
