On the line

It was fast, very fast in this team time trial. I did my best to keep my speed, thanks to my experience in this exercise. All my team-mates gave it their all. And I thank them for that. I like time-trials, I love this event. It was the first big effort of the week. We know that we have some details to work out, but physically we were there. In any case, the plan was respected. I would like to thank all my team-mates for their commitment”.

“We have done a good time trial with of course some details to correct. But the initial plan was respected with Kévin and Clément for whom we gave everything. They finished with two riders. There are still things to work on for the future. But we are on the right track. We have the means to do better. As for me, I wanted to do well. I gave everything for the guys, with the adrenalin of the effort, I forgot my little physical worries. I’ll do everything I can to do the same tomorrow”.

The debrief’

“We are below what we hoped for at the end of this stage. We have a team composed of climbers and rouleurs. But everyone gave 100%, but there are still improvements to be made in terms of automatisms on this kind of exercise. We are not far from 11th place, but unfortunately we are behind. Now, as it is the real time that has been counted at the finish, from tomorrow on, another Paris-Nice will start”.
