Roger Tréhin: "Our riders got lost in the sprint"

The Flanders Championship, which ended with a sprint, was run at an average speed of more than 45 km/h and saw our sprinters get lost in the final.

The debrief

“Nothing went as planned in this Flanders Championship. Bram was supposed to do the sprint, the team manoeuvred well until the last five kilometres, then at the three kilometre mark our riders got lost due to a lack of communication between them as they approached the line. Because there were not too many races, the peloton was still very massive at the finish, there was little skimming in this competition”.
