Roger Tréhin: "We have to perform well

PRE-COURSE

“The Giro dei Appennini is 190 km long and has 3000 meters of ascent, so it’s going to be a tough race. I was good in the French Championship, when I am in shape I can manage on hilly but not too steep courses. I was better and better in the French Championship last Sunday. I tried to follow Alaphilippe when he made his big attack with three laps to go. It was a good experience for me, I could see what the very, very high level was and the work I had to do. This will help me in the future”.

THE BRIEFING

“The Giro des Appenins will allow riders such as Laurent Pichon, Matîs Louvel, Maxime Bouet or Thibault Guernalec, who are more and more at ease on races with a difference in altitude, to continue to take advantage of their current good physical condition. Without forgetting Lukasz Owsian, 3rd and major actor of the Polish Championship last weekend. Romain Hardy, who has been frequently placed since the beginning of the season, can do well in this event. The team’s objective will be to perform well and to score UCI points, which are always crucial for the Arkéa-Samsic team”.
