“It was planned to anticipate this morning’s briefing, especially when the “real Flandrians” were going to explain themselves to each other, which Connor did. He just misses the chance to switch with them. Amaury and Matîs arrive in a second group. Matîs starts the sprint for Amaury who is 13th. Matîs is 19th. What is a pity is that Clément dies in the money-time of this race. He is pushed by another rider to the side of the road and breaks through. It’s a pity, especially as it’s the second time he’s had such an accident. He was disappointed afterwards, because the Flandriennes are really races that he likes and in which he wants to express himself“.
