“A victory is always good for me but also for the whole Arkéa-Samsic team. But beyond the results, I especially want to enjoy my bike. And I know where I come from. Last year in September I had very good feelings, but I crashed during training. I was told that it would be difficult to come back and I managed to win a UCI WorldTour race today. I am enjoying it. I was already in the breakaway yesterday and today I had to be smart and calculate my efforts well. Since the beginning I approach each stage as a classic and that is what I did today. I could count on the support of Clément Russo in the breakaway. He did a great job. We know each other well, we are friends and we room together on the races. I would also like to thank the whole team for the work they have done over the last two days”.

The debrief’
“A success in the Tirreno is a great success for a team, especially since Warren once again did it in the right way. Great scenario with his “buddy” Clement in front. There was a lot of racing going on very quickly and a lot of strong riders came out and the gap went up to four minutes. We started to believe it. Clem did a great job before he got to the circuit. Warren had it, and he was clearly the strongest, and he wrapped up a great day.
