Tour de France (stage 8), Nairo Quintana 15th
The 8th stage of the Tour de France finished in Lausanne, Switzerland, home of the International Olympic Committee, with Nairo Quintana in 15th place after crashing in the middle of the peloton. Warren finishes Barguil with the best.

“I was caught in a collective crash in the middle of the peloton at the beginning of the stage. We were riding fast at that moment and I tried to brake as much as possible. But I can’t avoid going to the ground. I feel good, I hope that tomorrow I will be good on this stage which will be very important for the Arkéa-Samsic team and me. I hope that I will be able to finish with the best like I did today in Lausanne”.

“The positive side is that there is nothing special to report for Nairo regarding his crash at the beginning of the stage. The second point to underline is that he arrives with the best without losing time on a stage that was very complicated with a relatively dangerous urban final. It’s just a pity that there wasn’t a break at some point in this group of twenty-five riders who were fighting for the win, because then we would have had a card to play with Warren. He didn’t have the opening today but maybe Warren will find it in the next days”.
