“This last stage was very tough. The peloton set a big rhythm all day long because a strong breakaway with Elie and Thibault had taken the lead. Like yesterday, I had good feelings. I lost contact with the six seven best riders in the col de Menthières but I am still satisfied with what I have done, as I am not a pure climber. I would like to thank Simon and Michel who did a great job in the peloton to place me well at the foot of each pass. This 10th place in the overall classification is more than satisfying.”

“We had another hot stage that started very fast. Elie and Thibault slipped into a strong breakaway. Unfortunately, it never took too much time because there were riders placed in the general classification and the agreement was not that good. Anthony had to stay with the yellow jersey group. Even if he lost some ground in the end, he confirmed his good form by doing a nice climb of the Col de Menthières and took a 10th place overall in a race made for real climbers.”
