Amaury Capiot: “On paper, the stage was rather easy, without much wind and at the seaside. The team helped me again in the final. I am not the fastest, but I wanted to win and I decided to take the initiative 200 meters from the line. I was beaten by a stronger rider. The Arkea-Samsic team is doing well, I’ll do everything I can to help Elie or Winner tomorrow.”
Sébastien Hinault (Sports Director): “Amaury took the initiative on this sprint and that allowed him to finish in third place on this second stage. He confirms his good start of the season after that. Tomorrow, it’s a stage for the puncheurs / climbers where the general classification should start to take shape.”
