“I would like to congratulate all my teammates for the work done throughout the stage until the final climb. Team Intermarché-Circus-Wanty set a big tempo from the foot of the stage. I felt I had good legs but the opponents were simply stronger today.”
“The main idea of the day was to put Cristián in a good mood at the foot of the hill, something that was done by the team. Then it was a physical explanation in the last slopes. He dropped out of the group of riders on the overall podium with 2 kilometers to go. You can only give up when your opponents are stronger. This Tour of Oman is satisfying. The general classification is decided by the pedal. Maybe we could have done better by getting a bonus on the 3rd stage.
