Tour of Wallonia, a field for puncheurs-grimpeurs
Team Arkéa-Samsic will participate in the Tour of Wallonia from July 23st to 27th, with a team made up of young riders, such as Kévin Vauquelin and Alessandro, and experienced riders like Laurent Pichon and Romain Hardy.
Pre-race
“I’ve just finished a two week training course in Isola 2000, which is a partner of the Arkéa-Samsic team. I have good sensations before resuming the competition on the Tour de Wallonie. I was able to do a good block by working well, which is good for the Arkéa-Samsic team and myself. The Tour of Wallonia offers a selective course on beautiful roads, which is obviously motivating. We just have to be on time for this competition”.
The briefing
“The Tour de Wallonie marks the resumption of competitions for the riders who didn’t participate in the Tour de France. It is a difficult event that will visit the foothills of the Belgian Ardennes, and will therefore offer mostly hilly courses. Our team is composed of young climbers, Kévin Vauquelin and Alessandro Verre, who will benefit from the experience of riders like Laurent Pichon and Romain Hardy, but also of Benjamin Declercq and Christophe Noppe who have the knowledge of the terrain. Our aim will be to get off to a good start in this block of competitions which will mark the last part of the 2022 season”.
