“It wasn’t easy to get into the breakaway, a lot of riders wanted a move race today, and to be at the front. The race was very fast, the heat was also present and it was a real battle. I am happy with this success, I promised my children that if I won it would be for them. It happened quicker than I expected and I am very happy. I’m motivated, and it’s good for the future. I’ve worked hard for this success, and I’m going to continue to do so to keep moving forward. I was feeling good today and that has converted into this excellent result. I’m going to continue to hold this line. I’m proud to have been able to shine the colours of Arkéa-Samsic. I would also like to thank my team-mates for their work, their support when I escaped, but also in the final part of the race when they controlled the other riders who tried to attack. They protected mine to allow me to get this success“.
