Pre-race

“I started training again on Sunday. I have had some sores and aches for a few days after my crash on the last stage of the Circuit de la Sarthe. Tomorrow I will race the Flèche Brabançonne and I am “excited” to race such a beautiful event on the professional calendar. It is a race that attracts me. I liked the mountains, especially the cobbles in Belgium, at the beginning of the season. I’m very keen to return to this terrain. I have a bit of experience now and I hope it will help me. Warren is doing very well at the moment, he’s a great leader and our objective is still the same: to make the Arkéa-Samsic team shine”.

The briefing

“We are setting the record straight after the Amstel, and we are starting the Flèche Brabançonne with desire and determination around our leader, Warren Barguil. He has and we have turned the page to the Ardennes that are coming up. The goal is to perform well on this Flèche Brabançonne that he loves, which is made up of hills and some cobbles. It is a type of terrain that Warren knows how to negotiate perfectly. He has demonstrated this many times in the past. This race motivates him and the whole Arkéa-Samsic team involved in this competition”.
