Amaury Capiot finishes 𝟵𝗲̀𝗺𝗲, in the sprint, of the Tour of Piemont!
“The sprint was hectic There was a crash and I was right behind. I started quite early in the last 500 meters, maybe that cost me a better place because the last 75 meters were a bit long for me. In the end, after a difficult Paris-Roubaix, I am quite satisfied with my condition today. I hope I will have another good day on Saturday at Paris-Tours.”
“We knew it was going to be a tough sprint. The team did a great job of being at the front of the pack and protecting Amaury, our sprinter of the day. Until one kilometer from the finish, it was perfect…there were a lot of waves in the peloton and Donavan had to leave Amaury alone a bit early. Amaury finished 9th and considering the field of sprinters here and the work we did in the final, there is nothing to be ashamed of. It’s a logical result.”
