4 Jours de Dunkerque (stage 6), Hugo Hofstetter 6th of the final general classification
Hugo Hofstetter finished 2nd in Dunkerque, and with the bonuses he climbed to 6th place in the final general classification of this event.

“We were all well placed at the last lap with Christophe Noppe and Clément Russo. Before this final, the whole Arkéa-Samsic team was grouped around me. We were able to minimize the restarts on the last lap, and I was able to benefit from more freshness thanks to the work of my team-mates. The sprint was a two-stage affair for me, as I started almost at a standstill compared to Thijssen. He arrives with more speed by throwing from far, whereas I had to produce a first effort to catch his wheel, which cost me a big power peak, and afterwards on my second effort it was difficult to catch him“.
The debrief’
“This last stage of the 4 Jours de Dunkerque ended with a sprint as we expected, but before that there was a lot of movement in the race. I had asked my riders to be active. And to play a role. As I have often said, I didn’t come here for a 9th place overall. I expected a reaction from my riders and that’s what happened. They tried to destabilize the race in the part of the circuit that is conducive to edging. The riders also did the job in the final, it was a small matter. I don’t have much to say to them about the outcome of this final day“.
