Circuit Franco-Belge: Benjamin Declercq 13ème
At the end of a rough final, Benjamin Declercq took 13th place in the Circuit Franco-Belge. It was also a first opportunity to see Toon Clynhens, who has been a trainee since August 1st, ride his first race with the Arkéa-Samsic team.

“It was very hot today and that made the race even more difficult. Nevertheless, I am satisfied with my first professional race for Arkéa-Samsic. The level was very high and it was a radical change from what I had experienced in the U23 category. It was a good learning experience for me.”
“The final circuit was really tough. Dan rode well for most of the race but he lacked the strength to fight in a very difficult sprint, on a bump, where everything is less tied up than on the flat. For his first race with us, Toon was present until one lap from the finish alongside his team-mates. He did well on a course that wasn’t necessarily cut out for his abilities.”
