Arctic Race of Norway: "a very open race"
As usual, the Arctic Race of Norway will offer a challenging course on the windy and hilly roads of the Trondheim region in Norway.
“There are always difficult stages. The field of pure sprinters is perhaps less strong this year because of the European championships which are held at the same time. In any case, it will not be an easy task. The course is always tricky, but it can be suitable if there is some action. With the teams starting with six riders, it is always more complicated to control the race in this situation. We have a great Team Arkéa-Samsic that can respond to the moves ahead.”
“The course is varied. The decision for the overall classification should be made on the third stage, which arrives at the top of a 3,8 kilometre long climb at 6,5%. But we will have to be careful until the end because the final circuit of the last day is very bumpy. It is a very open race on which we will have to be opportunist and show some regularity.”
