“I don’t think I’ve ever done such a hard effort (laughs). My whole body was tense. It was a very demanding climb, in stages, which did not necessarily correspond to me. Nevertheless, I managed my effort, I went to the limit. This 2nd place is satisfying and the day was a success. Since the beginning of this event, we have a good state of mind, we work together and this result today as well as the one of Amaury yesterday show to all our team-mates why they invest themselves.”

“When you do 2nd, you can sometimes ask yourself a thousand questions to see how you could have won if you had done it differently. I think that today there are few regrets. Kévin gave it his all, he hurt himself like never before and it’s a great 2nd place. He shows once again that he has a real margin for improvement. As a neo-pro, it’s a very encouraging performance at this level. Beware, the Arctic Race is not over yet. There is still a final stage on the circuit which promises to be eventful. You have to expect everything.
