Belgium Tour, stage 3: Hugo Hofstetter finishes 8th
Hugo Hofstetter took 8th place after a bunch sprint on the seafront of Knokke-Heist.
“The team worked really well. I am very happy with the work done. It allowed me not to take any risks, to be in a good position and to avoid any crashes. They all gave their all for me. It had been a while since I had done a massive sprint like that. I need to find my legs and my automatisms to do better. I have no doubt that it will come back very quickly with the succession of races.”
“The preparation for the sprint is good, even very good, with a rather well negotiated approach. We still have some small details to correct but the whole is rather good. We are below our expectations with regard to the result but we remember that we are in the match with the biggest sprinters on finishes like this one.”
