Boucles de la Mayenne: "it's up to us to do a good team effort"

The Boucles de la Mayenne is a UCI ProSeries event and an important event in the French calendar with stages that are suitable for sprinters but also for movement races.

Kévin Vauquelin

“I contracted Covid two weeks ago and it weakened me a lot. I had a difficult first week but the sensations are coming back, I was able to do a big training block in Nice region. We’ll see how I feel in the race but I know we can count on our team: we have a solid group with Amaury as leader for the sprints. It’s up to us to do a good team effort on these Boucles de la Mayenne.”

Roger Tréhin, sport director

“This four-stage race tends to crown a sprinter with three stages that can end that way. The second stage will undoubtedly be the queen stage with the finish in Pré-en-Pail, which will follow the ascent of the Mont des Avaloirs, climbed three times. It can decide the final general classification. On our side, we have different cards for several possible scenarios: Amaury Capiot for the sprints, Connor Swift and Kévin Vauquelin who, depending on their state of form, will be able to compete for the overall classification. But a race like this one can also be decided by bonuses. We will have to be vigilant.”
