“The successful breakaway left without us, it’s a pity but that’s racing. We have a very strong Arkea-Samsic team and I think we proved it today by riding at the front of the peloton for most of the day. I would like to thank my friends for their hard work today. I had a good climb, which is still positive. Today we made some mistakes but I’m confident we’ll learn from today’s stage and do some good things quickly.”
“We knew before the start that the stage was going to be very windy. On some sections, it was almost dangerous but the conditions were the same for everyone. When the bordure was formed, Kevin and Thibault lost Luca’s wheel, it’s a pity. Behind, we assumed our status by riding the whole stage. It was a frustrating day, Kevin had a great climb and I think he will be focused on doing very well tomorrow in the final time trial.”
