Jenthe Biermans joins Arkéa-Samsic

Team Arkéa-Samsic has recruited Jenthe Biermans, a Belgian rider who will strengthen our classics and sprinters group for the 2023 season.

____

Jenthe Biermans: “Team Arkéa-Samsic keeps on progressing year after year, both on a sporting and structural level, and it is also a team that has often welcomed Belgian riders into its ranks. In principle, we should be able to move up to the UCI WorldTour in 2023, which is important in view of the proposed calendar. I already know two riders very well: Amaury Capiot who lives a few kilometres from me, and Hugo Hofstetter with whom I rode for two seasons. He and I got along well. I am a rider for the classics and I also have the ability to work within a train for the sprinters. Otherwise on smaller events I can also take my chance when given the chance.

Emmanuel Hubert, General Manager

“Jenthe Biermans is the type of rider we were looking for because of his double quality: aptitude for the Flanders classics, and ability to prepare a sprint within a train. He will be a valuable asset for the Belgian campaign alongside Amaury Capiot, Hugo Hofstetter and Matîs Louvel. Twice second in Paris-Roubaix in the U23 ranks, Jenthe is also a rider who knows the UCI WorldTour. He has been riding at this level since 2017. His integration into the Arkéa-Samsic team should be very quick, as he already speaks good French and knows two of our riders: Amaury Capiot, who is his neighbour, and Hugo Hofstetter, who was his team-mate for two seasons. This should allow him to become an important rider in our squad very quickly.”
