Kévin Vauquelin

“It’s always gratifying to have a distinctive jersey on your back. I am still in the top 13 of this Belgium Tour, which is encouraging for the future. It’s a relief to get this first jersey, especially because before I had some problems when I was in the same position but I couldn’t finish. I learned a lot during these five days by having this jersey of best young rider of the Belgium Tour to go and defend. I could count on the precious help of my team-mates who supported me and guided me during the whole race”.

Yvon Caër, directeur sportif

“We had a disjointed sprint on this last stage. The Golden KM put the peloton in a bad mood and we couldn’t take Amaury with us as we would have liked. Apart from the way the first stage went, which deprived us of a better result for the general classification, we did everything we could to support Kévin as best we could. This best young rider jersey is a real satisfaction. We can see that he has the potential to do well in this kind of race. It is simply promising for the future.”
