Team Arkéa-Samsic launches its campaign for the Flanders classics this weekend at Omloop Het Nieuwsblad.
“I’m feeling pretty good going into this traditional opening weekend in Belgium. Since I started racing again, I’ve been making steady progress. After the 2022 Flanders classics campaign I’ve done, I may be expected to do more. My victory in Overijse helped me to have more confidence in myself. In the last few days I feel that special atmosphere of the classics starting to rise: it’s up to me to transform this into positive energy”.
“There is always that excitement on the opening weekend in Belgium. We know that all the teams will be ready for this big event. We will not be the favorites at the start but we will be able to count on Jenthe Biermans, Matîs Louvel, Clément Russo and Dan McLay depending on how the race looks. The Omloop Het Nieuwsblad has a very tough and selective course. We will expect them to be present”.
