Through hills and vineyards, Paris-Tours offers a strong final that suits the specialists of the spring classics.
“I feel at ease in these atypical races such as the Tro Bro Leon, Paris-Roubaix or Paris-Tours. To shine there, you need to be lucky, of course, because the roads to Tours can be tricky. The scenarios are different from “traditional” races: you have to wait for the right moment to make your effort. I always have a bit of extra motivation when I tackle this type of race. Collectively, it will be an advantage to have several riders who are comfortable on this kind of terrain.
“I had good feelings lately so I am confident about Paris-Tours. It’s the last race of the season, I have to give it my all! I finished 5th and 10th in my last two participations: I know that I am capable of doing great things. I want to repeat these performances and improve on them.”
“Pour briller à Paris-Tours il faut être fort et avoir un brin de chance également. C’est une course qui nous correspond : on a une belle équipe au départ avec de vrais atouts. Même si en face on aura une rude adversité, on a un groupe qui peut se donner les moyens d’aller faire un beau résultat. La formation Arkéa-Samsic aime ce genre d’épreuves avec du mouvement. Quand on décroche un bon résultat c’est que l’on a souvent été acteurs dans les moments-clés.”
