Thibault Guernalec is 5th in the French time trial championships
In Cholet, Thibault Guernalec took 5th place in the timed event of the French championships. For his first professional championships, Kévin Vauquelin finished 10th.
“No regrets. I am still one step behind. I was aiming for a podium, but the riders in front of me are better. 5th or 4th there is no difference. I was aiming for a place in the top 5 in France and I am there, today I have evolved to my best level. I will come back even stronger in 2023. I did a clean time, there is still something to go for to continue to progress in the ranking.”
“We were aiming for a top five finish with Thibault, and he’s right on target. He even finished a few seconds behind the 4th place. The three riders on the podium were really better. Thibault fulfilled his objective. Thibault is a committed rider. The point to work on is a gain in power. We will give him the means to achieve this in the very near future.”
