Tour of Turkey (Stage 1) : Nicolas Edet king of the mountain
Nicolas Edet took the King of the Mountain jersey in the Tour of Turkey at the end of the first stage (Bodrum – Kuşadası).

“The first objective of the day was to protect Nairo and in a second step help Nacer for the sprint. It was a long stage, we had to get our bearings in a fairly large peloton. There were a lot of crashes, but fortunately we managed to get through. In the second category, where the summit was 30km from the finish, I was well placed and I made the small effort to take the points. It wasn’t planned at all, it’s always nice to start the Tour of Turkey in this way.”
“The first day is always complicated. We need to find our bearings for the sprint and make sure that Nacer can express himself in the next few days. Nico takes the best climber’s jersey, which wasn’t really planned, but we’re happy to be on the podium.”
