“After a complicated season last year for reasons that everyone knows, I am happy to return to competition in the Challenge Ciclista Mallorca, an event that allows me to resume in a crescendo with two events of this race on my program. It’s like a new start for me. I hope that my year 2023 will be good. I’m doing everything I can to get back to the level I was at before the crash in Turkey.”

“I am very happy to be back competing in the Challenge Ciclista Mallorca. It’s going to be three days of intense competition with a lot of elevation gain. I like to resume my seasons there because it allows me to see where I am, but also it is a good point of passage before the other Iberian events that will be followed, Murcia and Jaen, and then the sequence with the Volta Ciclista Ao Algarve”.

Roger Tréhin, sport director

“The Challenge Ciclista Mallorca, an à la carte event with no general classification by time, but by the addition of places, allows for a good rotation of riders during the five days of competition on the island. This will be Nacer Bouhanni’s second race and he will be lined up for the two days, which have a race profile suited to sprinters. David Dekker will make his debut for Arkéa-Samsic. We will also line up our climbers-puncturers on this event on the stages that suit them. The backbone of the team will be Warren Barguil, Nicolas Edet, Michel Ries, Simon Guglielmi and Cristián Rodríguez, who will also make his debut in red and black.”
