Tour de Vendée: "we have to be opportunistic"

The Tour de Vendée will be the last round of the French Cup this Sunday and will offer the sprinters a chance to express themselves.

“It’s a race that I know well and on which I was able to make a few top 10s. In 11 participations, it has worked well for me, both individually and collectively, like last year when we won it. At the end of the season, we can sometimes expect some very different scenarios. We will have to be vigilant. Like in Paris-Chauny, it will be essential to be involved in the race if we want to get a good result.

“Following my operation at the beginning of July, I had some problems with a radial nerve. I didn’t ride since the Tour de l’Ain in order to recover. The sensations are coming back well, including in my hand. I am happy to be back with my team-mates on the Tour de Vendée, an open and potentially unbridled race.”

Yvon Ledanois, directeur sportif

“The Tour de Vendée is the last round of the French Cup and should allow us to continue the good momentum of the season and finish on a high note. It is an open race. We are lucky to have several cards in our team depending on how the race goes. The most important thing will be to be opportunistic and active. This should allow the whole team to start this last week of competitions of the year in the best possible way with the objective of reaching the UCI WorldTour level in sight.”
