Warren Barguil : " "I am motivated to race at home, on my training roads ".

Our leader Warren Barguil will take the Arkea-Samsic team on its training roads for the Bretagne-Classic, formerly Grand Prix de Plouay

” I’m in a bit of a special period because I don’t have a great feeling since I had to leave the Tour route in the Alps because of the Covid. I am working to make it better and better so I hope that on Sunday the legs will be better than last week. It will pay off one day or another, that’s obvious. This is my 4th participation in Plouay, a race that I love, and which is right next to my house. Last year I could have really done well. I had great legs but in the final I had a bad reading of the race which made me make the wrong choice, then Connor went out in the final. So I couldn’t ride anymore. It’s a race that I like, it’s very motivating to race at home, on my training roads. It gives me an extra motivation. I really hope that on Sunday all the indicators will be green and that luck will be on my side.”

Roger Tréhin

“It’s an important race for us, because it’s in Brittany. We are at home, but also because it is part of the UCI WorldTour calendar so we have to do well. We have a team of riders who are cut out for this kind of competition. Last year we managed to place in the final and Connor took a good 5th place. This season we will also try to do well, the last 80km will be particularly difficult with gravel sections that will not make the task any easier. We are ambitious, we have riders capable of doing great things and we are going to do everything we can to get the best possible place in this Bretagne Classic.”
